Job description

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Senior API Integration Developer to support the a team focused on enterprise integrations, API gateways, and real-time service orchestration across cloud and on-premise platforms.

This role is ideal for a backend-focused developer with strong API and integration experience who enjoys building scalable enterprise services, troubleshooting complex integrations, and supporting high-volume enterprise systems in a collaborative environment.


Hybrid-– 3 days/week onsite required
 

What You’ll Do

• Analyze system specifications and design enterprise integration solutions to support business and operational needs
• Design, code, test, debug, document, and maintain APIs and web services
• Create, modify, and support enterprise integrations using RESTful and SOAP APIs
• Work closely with analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand and deliver integration requirements
• Support API gateways, service orchestration, and enterprise integration platforms
• Develop integrations across cloud and on-premise systems and applications
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and production support for enterprise services
• Create technical specifications, workflows, diagrams, and integration documentation
• Research production issues and coordinate enhancements or modifications to existing integrations
• Support multiple concurrent integration efforts across commercial, government, and partner systems
• Participate in enterprise modernization initiatives focused on scalability, responsiveness, and secure integrations

What You’ll Need

• 4+ years of application development, systems integration, or API development experience
• Strong experience developing APIs and web services using JavaScript or Java
• Strong experience with RESTful and SOAP services
• Understanding of enterprise integration concepts and service orchestration
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments with multiple active initiatives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field OR equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with OAuth, mTLS, and authentication/encryption technologies
• Experience with IBM DataPower, IBM API Connect, Kong, or AWS API Gateway
• Experience with RedHat OpenShift Containers, Node.js, or WebSphere Application Server
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, BlackDuck, SonarQube, or Artifactory
• Experience with MQ, XML, MongoDB, SQL, Splunk, Swagger/OpenAPI, or IBM WTX/ITX
