Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated solutions within the Workday HCM ecosystem. This role focuses on improving efficiency, data accuracy, and system reliability through automation, integrations, and testing frameworks across Workday modules.

They should be hands on with Automation, should have Playwright and MCP experience and will serve as the primary automation resource.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement automation solutions for Workday business processes, workflows, Integrations and EIBs

Evaluate and guide the customer in choosing the appropriate automation tool for the project

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Workday using automation tools such as Opkey, Selenium, Katalon Studio, Kainos SmartTest, REST‑assured, ReadyAPI, or proprietary frameworks

Perform regression, functional, and integration automation testing for Workday releases and updates

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot automation or integration issues

Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements and optimize workflows

Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Workday systems

Support Workday releases, patches, and continuous improvement initiatives

Document automation processes, scripts, and system configurations

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

6+ years of experience working with Workday (HCM, Finance, or Payroll modules)

Strong experience with automation tools, Playwright and MCP

Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)

Workday automation testing project experience

Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP)

Experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems (e.g., Git)

Understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
