About the Role:
Mollie Stone's Markets, a gourmet Bay Area grocery chain is seeking a Cashier/APC (All Purpose Clerk) Clerk at our Grand Central location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and be flexible working various tasks from day to day. The (APC) All Purpose Clerk is a versatile team member who may be assigned to work in Cashiering, or any other department based on store needs.
Essential Functions:
  • Processing Sales at the register
  • Scans items accurately and efficiently; properly identifies product items
  • Handling money
  • Bag groceries for customers and provide carry out service if needed
  • Retrieve baskets and carts for store
  • Clean up and general housekeeping duties
  • Give exceptional customer service and assist customers with any questions they may have
  • Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items; givers customers direction of product location throughout store
  • Restocking inventory, conduct price checks, take "return" products back to proper shelf locations.
  • Work in any other department based on store needs.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A passion for unique, fresh food and a team-centered attitude.
  • Ability to identify quality or freshness of produce by sight or smell.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand upright up to eight hours per day.
  • Available to work a flexible shift, including some evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Local candidates only.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
  • Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.

Pay rate:
$20.00 - $26.95/hour depending on Industry experience
