Columbia Choice Apartments is seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team in Columbia, Maryland. Our community offers the stability of a professionally managed property with the supportive atmosphere of a smaller team, where your skills and contributions are recognized and appreciated.

What You'll Do

Every day brings something different as you help keep our community operating at its best. Responsibilities include:

  • Completing service requests in occupied apartment homes promptly and professionally
  • Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, appliances, electrical issues, fixtures, and general building components
  • Performing apartment make-readies and preparing homes for new residents
  • Maintaining common areas, building systems, and community grounds
  • Recording completed work using a mobile work order system
  • Participating in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule
  • Working independently while collaborating closely with the maintenance and office teams
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.

Qualifications include:

  • Previous apartment or multifamily maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • Experience troubleshooting HVAC, plumbing, appliance, electrical, and general repair issues
  • EPA Certification preferred, but not required
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
