Job Summary

The Apartment Building Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance coordination, tenant relations, and financial oversight of an apartment building. This role ensures the property is well-maintained, fully leased, compliant with regulations, and provides a safe, clean, and positive living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Maintenance

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs
  • Coordinate and supervise vendors, contractors, and on-site staff
  • Conduct regular property inspections
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and local laws
  • Maintain cleanliness and curb appeal of common areas
Tenant Relations & Leasing

  • Market available units and conduct property tours
  • Screen prospective tenants and process applications
  • Prepare, execute, and enforce lease agreements
  • Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and conflict resolution
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs, including inspections
Administrative Duties

  • Maintain accurate tenant records and files
  • Respond to phone calls, emails, and service requests promptly
  • Prepare notices and correspondence for tenants
  • Ensure compliance with fair housing laws and company policies
Safety & Security

  • Monitor building security systems and safety procedures
