Job description

A growing hospitality management company is looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Office team.
The position requires a thorough knowledge of the hospitality and lodging industry and working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivables. This position is responsible for the preparation and compiling of the financial information for several hotels in our growing portfolio, working directly with property level management to ensure accuracy and analyze information to provide operations management with sound financial and statistical information.
Staff Accountants are responsible for the complete month and year-end closing of the hotels' financial statements and other duties including but not limited to
  • Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet Preparation
  • Balance Sheet account reconciliation
  • Preparing recurring and adjusting journal entries
  • Daily and monthly cash flow forecasting
  • Internal control analysis
  • Review A/P Packets received from hotels for accuracy. Confirm invoices have been coded correctly and have all necessary signatures. Post approved invoices for payment. Contact Hotel on unapproved invoices for resolution
