Position Summary Vaco has partnered with a company looking for an AP Manager to join their team! As the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the accounts payable process. You will lead a team responsible for processing payments, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. This role is crucial in maintaining strong financial operations and providing accurate financial data to support the company’s growth. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the AP team, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment. AP Operations: Oversee end-to-end AP processes, including invoice processing, payment disbursements, and reconciliations. Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve any issues and ensure smooth processes. Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, implementing internal controls to prevent errors or fraud. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve AP processes, exploring automation and efficiencies to enhance productivity and accuracy. Month-End Close: Oversee AP month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and reporting to the accounting team. Reporting: Prepare and analyze AP reports and metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred. Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and accounts payable best practices. Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
