Field Superintendent (Electrical)
WORK LOCATION

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Management-level responsibility for construction efforts on high-profile projects. Acts, in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Executive, as a point of contact with all construction vendors and contractors. Will provide leadership and technical expertise and manage external relationships. Will play a major role with regard to schedule, quality, and safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES
โ€ข Manage construction efforts on the project through installation
โ€ข Perform constructibility analysis and value engineering recommendations
โ€ข Management of pre-construction services scope and provides pre-construction input (varies by project)
โ€ข Monitors construction, schedule, and quality control
โ€ข Manages the safety program in close coordination with the Safety Department
โ€ข Monitors construction management contract compliance (if applicable)
โ€ข Makes recommendations to the project manager on bid packages and develops, receives, and awards bid in conjunction with contract administration
โ€ข Monitors submittal and shop drawing process
โ€ข Reviews and approves contract application for payment
โ€ข Leads the development of the project delivery system
โ€ข Maintains clarification, submittal, and deficiency logs
โ€ข Coordinates with governmental and utility agencies
โ€ข Coordinates with other client departments and personnel
โ€ข Responsible for personnel management of direct reports to include performance reviews, performance counseling, talent development, et cetera
โ€ข Aids in preparation of site logistics plan
โ€ข Reviews and approves contractor's project schedule
โ€ข Ensures proper interface with key project partners (Engineering Services, Facilities Management, Operations)
โ€ข Facilitates production of mock-ups for approval (Design Architect, Operator & Client Executives).
โ€ข Interfaces with Client Senior Executives
โ€ข Adherence to all personnel policies and company handbooks
QUALIFICATIONS
โ€ข 7+ years of job-related experience in electrical construction
โ€ข Proven experience managing the construction process and documentation (shop drawings, document control, punch lists)
โ€ข Ability to lead project teams
โ€ข Experience with and proven understanding of scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and quality control
โ€ข Ability to manage through conflict and complexity and to problem-solve issues to resolution
โ€ข Extensive experience in electrical systems.
โ€ข Experience in the contract administration process (contracts, professional fees)
โ€ข Ability to understand the needs of the client and to manage relationships between the owner/operator
โ€ข Computer literacy (Word, Bluebeam, Excel, E-Mail)
โ€ข Ability to comfortably communicate, both verbally in presentation and conversation, and written in correspondence to project team, vendors, consultants, and partners
โ€ข Ability to give direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment
โ€ข Expanded computer proficiency in various software helpful
โ€ข Supervisory experience
โ€ข OSHA 30 certification
โ€ข Electrical license or certifications
LEADERSHIP SKILLS
โ€ข Ability to successfully manage personnel providing leadership, mentoring, coaching and guidance
โ€ข Ability to successfully lead project team including consultants, staff extensions, contractors, etcetera.
