Job description

SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified RM&A Specialist - Maritime Navigation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary: The RM&A (Reliability, Maintainability, andAvailability) Specialist performs engineering analyses to ensure the long-termoperational readiness and mission success of naval navigation suites and sensorsystems. This role involves modeling andassessing the performance of complex hardware such as the AN/WSN-7, AN/WSN-12,and DHYSL. The Specialist identifies potential failure modes, predictsmaintenance requirements, and recommends design or process improvements tomaximize system uptime and operational availability for the U.S. Navy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reliability Modeling: Develop and maintain reliability block diagrams and mathematical models for inertial and non-inertial maritime sensors.
  • Failure Analysis: Lead Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify system vulnerabilities and mission-critical failure points.
  • Data Trending: Analyze field performance data and maintenance records to calculate Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).
  • Availability Assessments: Conduct operational availability (Ao) simulations to determine the impact of component reliability and supply chain logistics on fleet readiness.
  • Maintainability Studies: Evaluate system designs for ease of maintenance, accessibility, and the effectiveness of built-in test (BIT) capabilities.
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare comprehensive RM&A reports for Navy program offices to support design reviews, lifecycle sustainment, and "Life-of-Type" buy decisions

Qualifications:
Education:
RM&ASpecialist I, II, III - Bachelor of Science (BS) inEngineering (Reliability, Electrical, or Systems Engineering preferred).
RM&ASpecialist VI - Master's Degree and Logistics DAWIALevel 3 certified or equivalent desired.
Technical Requirements:
  • Proven expertise in reliability software and statistical analysis tools.
  • In-depth understanding of NAVSEA reliability standards and MIL-HDBK criteria.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing complex maritime electronic systems, including gyroscopic navigators and digital speed logs.

Experience:
RM&ASpecialist I - 0 to 3 years of experience in DOD lifecycle logistics, maritime sustainment or naval maintenance management.
RM&ASpecialist II - 3 to 6 years of experience in DODlife cycle logistics, maritime sustainment or naval maintenance management.
RM&ASpecialist III - 6 to 10 years of experience in DODlife cycle logistics, maritime sustainment or naval maintenance management.
RM&ASpecialist IV - 10+ years of experience in DOD lifecycle logistics, maritime sustainment or naval maintenance management.
Preferred: 5 years of direct experience in RM&A engineering within thedefense industry or maritime sector.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
