PRIMARY FUNCTION: To assist in the daily routines and procedures of various District Office departments.
PAY GRADE: $10.00 per hour
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Temporary/Summer Work - Must be at least 16 years of age.
EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: High School or College Student
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED: None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Human Resources, Communications and Special Education - Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Technology - Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
PROFICIENT SKILLS:
  • Follow written and oral instructions.
  • Interpersonal, written and oral communication, organizational and computer skills.
  • General knowledge of all office equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all records.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
  2. Answer phone inquiries, direct calls and provide basic school system information.
  3. Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents; photocopy, fax, etc. as needed.
  4. Open and distribute mail.
  5. Ability to use or the aptitude to learn technology applications.
  6. Manage databases and input information, data and records.
  7. Other duties as assigned by appropriate personnel.
