Job description

Gray Analytics is seeking a Test Engineer to join our team as a member of the Army Program Acquisition Executive Fires (PAE Fires) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville Alabama. Position Description: As a member of our team, you will be stationed with an Army Project Office, providing invaluable support for test planning and execution to an Army Test Team operating at Redstone Arsenal, AL, for both present and future Air Defense System of Systems (SoS) testing. Your primary responsibility will involve supporting the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office by integrating and testing various components, including IBCS, Patriot, Sentinel, LTAMDS, IFPC, and upcoming sensors and launchers, within the System of Systems framework. You will also assist in integrating with a network of test tools essential for system testing. A crucial aspect of your role will be understanding the intricacies of different foreign systems, enabling you to offer insights and guidance on test planning and requirements to achieve the objectives of each unique system or component. Additionally, you will need to effectively prioritize competing requirements for time and resources, drawing upon your understanding of Government customer and mission needs to adjudicate resource requirements. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting test activities for Air and Missile Defense capabilities, including Qualification Testing and Range Field Testing. This will involve generating pre-test documentation, such as test plans, test requirements, test procedures, and test case matrices. Moreover, you will participate in test planning meetings and Management Reviews. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience in Qualification testing and testing of fielded systems. An understanding of DOD test and integration processes for complex defense systems, particularly Command and Control systems, along with familiarity with current regulations, policies, and procedures governing this testing, will be advantageous. Required Qualifications: The ideal candidate must be a US Citizen and hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or computer sciences, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Tactical Systems test environments. Desired qualifications include experience with Army Air Defense Systems such as Patriot, LTAMDS, and IBCS. Additionally, the candidate must either reside in the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate there. Preferred Qualifications: The candidate must demonstrate self-motivation and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills. This role involves participation in a Test Execution Team, necessitating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment comprising government and prime contractor personnel from multiple projects, agencies, and labs, including external agency stakeholders. Flexibility in work schedule during test execution periods is essential. Moreover, the candidate must be open to traveling to various DoD test ranges to support different test operations and missions.
