Job description

WELDING FABRICATOR
Automation Personnel Services is motivated Welding Fabricator with proven manufacturing fabrication experience to support the construction, repair, and maintenance of anodizing tooling and fixturing. This position reports directly to the Tooling Engineering Manager. The successful candidate must work safely around potentially hazardous equipment, follow established safety precautions, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Pay Rate
$26.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm

Welding Fabricator- Duties and Responsibilities
 Fabricate, assemble, repair, and modify aluminum, titanium, and steel tooling and framework.
 Perform MIG welding (aluminum) and TIG welding (titanium); support secondary welding as needed.
 Read and interpret engineering drawings to measure, cut, shape, and assemble components.
 Inspect tooling for wear, damage, or defects and complete repairs to meet specifications.
 Maintain and troubleshoot anodizing tooling (racks, carts, fixtures) to support production.
 Perform preventative maintenance and ensure all work meets quality standards before release.
 Safely operate shop equipment and material-handling tools; maintain a clean, safe work area.
Welding Fabricator- Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma (trade or welding training preferred).
  • 5+ years of fabrication/welding experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong MIG (aluminum) and TIG (titanium) welding skills; additional welding methods a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints, perform measurements, and produce high-quality welds.
  • Experience with fabrication tools (saws, presses, grinders, etc.).
  • Good problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.
Physical & Work Environment:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment.
  • Exposure to typical industrial conditions (heat, noise, fumes); PPE required.
