Job description

The Annuity New Business Case Manager is responsible for delivering a high-quality service experience while supporting the efficient processing of annuity new business and related operations. This position serves as a primary point of coordination for financial professionals, ensuring requests are handled accurately, proactively, and in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

The position is responsible for managing complex annuity transactions and monitoring cases through each stage of the business process. Through a CARE-focused approach (Communicate, Advocate, Respond, and Empower), this position helps create positive customer experiences while balancing operational efficiency, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

As an annuity subject matter expert, the Annuity New Business Case Manager provides guidance on replacement regulations, Best Interest standards, suitability requirements, and annuity order entry platforms. This role partners closely with Operations & Services teams and cross-functional business partners to resolve issues, identify process improvements, and support operational excellence.

Through a combination of case ownership, relationship management, and customer advocacy, this position contributes to improved operational performance, enhanced service delivery, and positive outcomes for customers and financial professionals.

You will

  • Serve as a central point of contact for Financial Advisors to resolve outstanding requirements for new business and post issue transactions.
  • Monitor application status across systems, proactively following up with internal teams, distributors, or partners to resolve outstanding requirements.
  • Possess a broad mastery of Guardian's annuity products, systems, and business rules to provide immediate, handson support where workloads fluctuate.
  • Escalate issues appropriately and recommend solutions to prevent processing delays or rework.
  • Maintain a customercentric mindset, balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Partner with ProductManagement,Compliance, and various departments across theorganization to orchestrate successful and compliant product launches.
  • Collaborate on or lead cross functional tasks and projects, while acting as a liaison to provide updates to management.
  • Assist in systems testing and create training materials for the team.
  • Operate at a high level to consistently exceed business unit quality and service level agreement standards.
  • Contribute to team success through flexibility, collaboration, and willingness to take ownership of tasks.

You have

  • Minimum of 2years of financialservice or annuity operationsexperience.
  • A bachelor's degree.
  • FINRA Securities licenses are preferred (Series 6 or 7).
  • Exceptional organizational, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to simultaneously manage multiple business processes or functions.
  • Exceptional level of accountability, discretion, and independent decision making.
  • Demonstrates a positive, professional, and proactive approach to work.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Reporting Relationships

As our Operations Case Manager, you'll report to the Annuity Operations Team Lead, who reports to our Manager of Annuity New Business Operations.

Location

The primary location for this position is our Bethlehem, PA, office location for three days each week, and work from home eligible for two days each week. You must be able to come to campus at any time, and the required number of in-office days are subject to change.

Travel

10% Travel required for this position. You'll be expected to travel to a Guardian work location, as determined by your manager.

Salary Range:

$49,260.00 - $73,890.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
