Job description

The NFL Media Design Group is seeking aย Designer/Animatorย to create high-quality graphics, motion design, and visual storytelling assets that support shows, live events, special programming, and emerging platforms. This role combines concept development, design execution, and animation, requiring creativity, technical expertise, and a strong attention to detail.

Working closely with Art Directors and Creative Producers, the Designer/Animator will develop original concepts, iterate on creative solutions, and deliver polished motion graphics that meet the highest production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize, design, and animate high-production-value graphics for a variety of NFL Media projects.
  • Create original visual concepts and translate them into compelling motion design solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors to ensure creative alignment and execution excellence.
  • Develop scalable, repeatable animation systems and templates that can be shared across internal teams, editors, and external vendors.
  • Maintain organized project files and adhere to established workflows and production standards.
  • Partner with Creative Producers to establish realistic timelines and manage design, revision, and delivery schedules.
  • Balance multiple assignments while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Execute projects efficiently, including those with accelerated turnaround times, by leveraging existing toolkits, templates, and custom assets.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in design, motion graphics, or animation.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Adobe After Effects (including Scripting and Mogrts), Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience using Figma, UI/UX design
  • Knowledge of Cinema 4D (C4D)
  • Ability to develop custom designs and animations from original concepts, style guides, existing graphic packages, and creative references.
  • Strong understanding of motion design principles, visual storytelling, and production workflows.
  • Ability to follow established file naming conventions, organizational standards, and production processes.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Part-time, up to 29 hours per week
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as production schedules require.
