Pro Staff (Clothing, Pet & Animal Health)
JOB PURPOSE: TO DELIVER ON THE MISSION OF WILCO BY PROFITABLY PROVIDING SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
JOB SUMMARY: Be the product knowledge expert and merchandise, stock, sign, and provide customer service, upholding department standards where assigned. Sell products, provide product information, ensure complete bin tagging and signing, and keep the department clean. Contribute to the store team to improve the overall performance of departments.
Reports to: Retail Store Manager | Retail Assistant Manager | Retail Department Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Understand the needs of customers and provide and ensure customer service in assigned departments.
  • Maintain and demonstrate advanced knowledge of products and projects related to our signature departments.
  • Order, merchandise, stock, and sign departmental products utilizing established standards.
  • Be informed and provide product information to customers and the store team in the designated department, and further develop department product knowledge.
  • Maintain department orderliness and cleanliness by complying with all established standards.
  • Recommend and participate with other inter-departmental team members in efforts to improve the value of the department.
  • Fill in at other departments and cashier positions as needed.
  • Attend regular and special meetings as requested.
  • Maintain and comply with all established retail standards.
  • Stock store merchandise as directed.
  • Open and/or close farm store as assigned.
  • Act as Manager on Duty as assigned.
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING
  • Skills to operate a computer and other automated office machines.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and co-workers.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Two years' retail department experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Regular bag/bale lifting.
  • Prolonged standing and repetitive bending.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Rural, pet-friendly environment.
