About this Job
Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center is a 24-bed acute care critical access hospital serving the Florida Parishes region of Southeast Louisiana. We offer a wide range of services including general surgery and a 24-hour emergency department. At Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center, we are able to bring you a wide range of services close to home, provided by a network of board certified physicians.
Minimum Qualifications :
Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.
Job Duties:
  • Identifies patient properly and verifies completeness of chart and procedure site.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plan to meet the individualized needs of the patient. Supervises and directs patient care and personnel in a single operating room.
  • Provide assistance to surgeon and anesthetist as necessary. Ensures proper technique and practices are maintained.
  • Reports any change in the patient's condition.
  • Circulating Nurse: Identifies needed supplies and equipment to prepare room for patient and procedure. Assesses and meets the patient's individual physical, safety, and emotional needs. Assures completion of the patient's chart, OR records, and charge slips.
  • Scrub Nurse: Prepares equipment and packs for use in the procedure.

Scrubs, gowns, and gloves self and other team members for the procedure. Handles instruments and packs correctly and ensures their proper functioning. Participates in all required counts.
  • Assist with annual review and revision of departmental policy and procedure manual.
  • Attend Educational In-Services, Mandatory Training and Annual Review as required by hospital policy and procedure, or deemed necessary by supervisor. Any and all other duties as assigned to include ensuring departmental coverage.

Position Specific Details: This is a PRN position and is not eligible for state benefits or retirement. The selected applicant will be compensated only for hours actually worked.
Work Location: This Nurse Registered-PRN position is located in the Operating Room.
Work Schedule: The shift schedule will be determined by the Department Manager and the incumbent must be available to work on-call as needed.
Compensation: The rate of pay for the Nurse Registered position is $ 30.00/ hour.
  • Certification Pay $3.00/hour
  • On call Pay- $3.00 hour
  • Domicile Pay- $3.00/ hour
  • Certification, domicile, and on-call pay are earned only for hours actually worked.
  • The incumbent shall possess and maintain a current LA State RN licensure, a valid BLS, PALS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
