Texas Regional Physicians is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join our growing team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care across a variety of surgical and procedural settings, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC), for a diverse patient population. This role offers a mix of hospital-based and ambulatory surgical center coverage, with opportunities to participate in perioperative leadership and quality initiatives.

• Provide pre-operative assessment, risk stratification, and anesthesia planning for surgical and procedural patients.

• Administer general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) across a range of surgical specialties.

• Monitor and manage patients' physiological status throughout surgical procedures, adjusting anesthesia as clinically indicated.

• Manage post-anesthesia care, including pain management and recovery protocols, in coordination with PACU staff.

• Respond to and manage perioperative emergencies, including airway management and hemodynamic instability.

• Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nursing staff, and other perioperative team members to ensure coordinated, efficient care.

• Maintain accurate and timely anesthesia records in compliance with TRP and facility documentation standards.

• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency and after-hours anesthesia coverage as assigned.

• Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and anesthesiology residents/fellows as applicable under a care team model.

• Engage in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental peer review.

• Maintain compliance with hospital bylaws, credentialing requirements, and TRP clinical protocols.

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology residency program.

• Fellowship training (e.g., cardiac, obstetric, pediatric, pain management, or regional anesthesia) a plus, but not required.

• Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).

• Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to start date).

• Current DEA registration.

• Eligibility for hospital privileges at TRP-affiliated facilities in the Houston area.

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Strong clinical judgment, procedural skill, and ability to perform effectively in high-acuity, time-sensitive situations.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary perioperative environment.
