Work Location:Solis Mammography and Washington Radiology markets across the United States (specific openings will vary based on when applying)

Work Hours:PRN, part-time and full-time available

Position Highlights:

Here is what you will need:

  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
  • If student, must be in you final semester of Radiologic Technology program
  • An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist Trainee:

  • Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
  • Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
  • Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills
