Hands-on experiences include preparing anesthesia equipment, assisting with patient setup, and learning to troubleshoot common equipment issues under supervision. You will often work closely with anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and surgical teams, gaining exposure to a variety of surgical procedures and patient care scenarios. This direct interaction helps build confidence and competence in real operating room environments.

Can I become an anesthesia tech without a degree?

Job description

Application deadline: Jul 5, 2026
The World Wide Grocery Stores (WWGS) training team drives operational excellence through innovative, scalable training solutions that empower thousands of team members and leaders across Amazon's grocery portfolio. We support multiple grocery formats-from neighborhood markets to large-format stores-and we're seeking an exceptional training professional to join our dynamic, fast-paced environment where we constantly raise the bar on operational training.
In this role, you'll own the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and measurement of training solutions that enhance team member performance, strengthen operational capabilities, and support Amazon's customer-centric mission. You'll work cross-functionally with Operations, PXT, and business partners across regions, using data and technology to create scalable learning experiences that drive measurable business impact.
Our primary customers are the field operations teams who run our grocery stores every day. You'll navigate a complex, matrixed organization to deeply understand their needs, then design and deliver training solutions that translate into real-world performance improvements on the store floor. If you're passionate about developing people, thrive in ambiguity, and want to shape the future of one of Amazon's fastest-growing businesses, we want you on our team.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead the end-to-end design, development, implementation, and iteration of learning projects that drive operational excellence across multiple grocery formats and regions
• Design and implement measurement strategies (Kirkpatrick model, business impact analysis) to evaluate program effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
• Write compelling business documents (6-pagers, program briefs, status reports) and develop instructional content using authoring tools; present data-driven recommendations to senior leadership
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across Operations, PXT, and regional leadership to align learning solutions with business priorities
• Design curriculum frameworks and create scalable mechanisms for program adoption, quality control, and change management across stores
• Develop data-driven insights using metrics and associate performance data to inform program strategy and demonstrate ROI
• Facilitate virtual and in-person training sessions to store trainers, when needed
• Champion team member development needs while balancing business requirements, operational constraints, and labor model considerations
• Conduct ongoing training needs assessments through field observations, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to identify gaps and prioritize solutions
• Partner with field operations leadership to validate training effectiveness and gather frontline feedback; travel to store locations as needed (up to 5% expected)
• Leverage AI tools and technologies to automate tasks, support data analysis, and streamline content reviews to increase team efficiency and quality
A day in the life
Your day might start with Ops, PXT, Field Training, or project partners in meetings focused on updates to training content or projects and the resources needed to successfully implement them. Mid-morning, you join a cross-functional call with regional Operations leaders-your primary customers-to align on an upcoming process change that requires new training content. After lunch, you review learner feedback data and iterate on a training module, applying instructional design principles to refine content and scope a new e-learning course. You may periodically visit stores to see training in action and gather frontline insights. Throughout the week, you provide insight and inputs to training strategy documents, develop content in authoring tools, manage stakeholder alignment across multiple time zones, and drive crisp decisions to keep your projects on track.
About the team
The WWGS training team is a collaborative group of learning professionals dedicated to building operational capability across Amazon's grocery portfolio. We sit within the broader Operations Business Support (OBS), Change Enablement (CE) organization and partner closely with PXT, Operations leadership, and technology teams. Our team develops and delivers training solutions that span the full associate lifecycle-from Day 1 onboarding through leadership readiness. We're data-driven, customer-obsessed, and passionate about making our stores great places to work and shop. We value diverse perspectives, move fast, and support each other through regular collaboration, shared best practices, and a commitment to each other's growth.

- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or related field
