Founded in 2004, Brilliant Corners provides innovative housing and housing-related services to California's most vulnerable individuals, with an emphasis on those transitioning from, or at risk of, homelessness or institutionalization. We develop, own, and manage multi-family supportive housing and licensed residential care homes. We implement a broad array of scattered-site, one-on-one supportive housing, and clinical case management programs through partnerships with developmental services, homeless services, veterans' services, and health care sectors.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated, responsible, and experienced Technology Training Specialist to join our organization. The Technology Training Specialist will develop, implement and oversee the Data and Technology Department's training program for Brilliant Corners technology platforms. They will develop an internal training program and deploy web-based and in-person trainings across the organization and to external partners in coordination with the Data and Technology Department and program staff. This role requires a skilled trainer who can quickly grasp complex content, produce high-quality training materials, and effectively engage diverse audiences. It is ideal for someone who is comfortable presenting in front of groups and thrives in a rapidly changing environment where all ideas are respected and encouraged.ย 

Position Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver basic and specialized technology training based on the needs of the organization and end users
  • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, both in person and virtual, managing logistics, scheduling, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Design and expand learning resources that includes but is not limited to, user guides, instructional material, and self-study documents
  • Interface extensively with internal management to identify training needs and priorities, and design effective training plans to address those needs.
  • Collaborate with Product Development team on updates and additions to software where end-user training is required to ensure successful user adoption
  • Develop and modify training assessments and evaluations with an eye toward quality improvement
  • Monitor and report on training attendance, metrics, and outcomes to track progress and assess the impact of training initiatives.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and modify content as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Conduct skills and knowledge assessments for staff members to identify areas for growth and development for technology.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development, Program Development, and other cross-departmental partners on agency-wide trainings, including onboarding.
  • Research new and existing functionality of training software and tools that would improve the training experience for end users
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned, taking on additional responsibilities and contributing to the overall success of the Data and Tech Department

Requirements

Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of CRM, CMS, HRIS and ERP platforms and how they are used across a complex organization
  • Salesforce experience
  • Direct experience with homeless service providers and/or supportive housing providers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

    • Minimum of one year experience in a training or education role, preferably in the non-profit or social services sector.
    • Excellent people skills, specifically a capacity for collaboration and interpersonal relationships-unflappably patient
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to express technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Superior ability to improvise and find solutions on the spot without losing your cool
    • Strong project management, critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving and record-keeping skills a must.
    • An ability to multitask, organize and prioritize to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent public speaking and comfort presenting in various settings (e.g., virtual, town hall, training, etc.) to a wide variety of stakeholders.
    • Excellence in developing relationships and strong conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence others.
    • Comfort with graphic design for the purpose of making information attractive to different audiences; experience with Microsoft Office, Power Point or other presentation software.
    • Experience using e-learning software, such as Articulate 360.

Physical Requirements

Candidates should have physical mobility for tasks such as standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces. They should be capable of performing stationary tasks like sitting for up to 6 to 8 hours a day.ย  Additionally, candidates should be able to lift, carry, push, pull light to moderate weights up to 15 pounds safely. Requires mental acuity for analytical reasoning and document interpretation.

This position is part of the OPEIU, LOCAL 30, AFL-CIO, bargaining unit. As a member of the OPEIU, LOCAL 30, AFL-CIO, the incumbent will be subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the collective bargaining agreement

Salary range for this position is $70,400 - $78,000 annually. This position is being offered at$70,400 - $78,000.
