What is an anesthesia physician assistant?

Anesthesia Physician Assistants (Anesthesia PAs) are medical professionals who work under the supervision of anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. They assist in developing anesthesia care plans, monitor patients’ vital signs, and help manage pain control. Their responsibilities may include administering anesthesia, performing preoperative assessments, and responding to emergencies during surgery. Anesthesia PAs play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process.
