Job description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Anduril Imaging team develops state-of-the-art imaging systems across both hardware and software, deployed to tackle the most significant security challenges of America and its allies. The team is heavily involved in utilizing computer vision, perception, electro-optical, infrared, and sensor data to give our war fighters and allies an advantage.

ABOUT THE JOB
The Electronics Supply Chain Engineer drives the strategic supply network development and cost management of Anduril Imaging's electronics across their lifecycles, by collaborating with suppliers and cross-functionally, including folks in engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Manage electrical BOMs, component risk assessments, and alternate component sourcing paths across product lines
  • Identify & mitigate supply-chain lead-time/sourcing risks, especially for PCBA components
  • Ensure scalability of electronics sourcing strategy as multiple product lines scale to full production
  • Conduct supplier selection across product lines and managing/expanding our approved supplier list
  • Work closely with suppliers to handle and resolve basic technical inquiries, consult with the design engineering team as needed
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure AS9100 compliance for any and all production electronics builds
  • Work with the manufacturing team to ensure proper release and transmission of technical data packages within PLM and ERP systems
  • Coordinate with Anduril HQ's PCBA commodity team & resources to streamline Anduril Imaging's PCBA procurement processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics
  • Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering at the component & product level
  • Ability to travel a 10-25% of the time for vendor on-site visits
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. secret clearance


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or advanced technical degree
  • Experience in sourcing of printed circuit boards and subcomponents, familiarity with PCBA fabrication & assembly processes
  • Familiarity with PCBA industry quality standards such as IPC and J-STD
  • Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a rapid low-rate environment
  • Exposure to/interest in working in a fast-paced start-up environment
