The Position:

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and implementing scalable production software solutions across web, mobile, and backend platforms. This role supports end-to-end product development utilizing TypeScript across application layers and delivering cloud-native solutions within the Azure Cloud platform.

The Senior Software Engineer remains highly involved in hands-on development while contributing to technical design, project estimation, planning, code quality, and engineering best practices within the team. This role is expected to lead by example through strong technical execution, collaboration, code reviews, and delivery of reliable, maintainable, and scalable software solutions. Responsibilities include:

  • Design, implement, and maintain full-stack web, mobile, and backend applications using TypeScript
  • Deliver production-quality code across frontend, mobile (native or cross-platform), backend, and shared libraries
  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs that support web and mobile clients
  • Implement integrations with third-party/SaaS products
  • Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions, balancing scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Participate in design reviews and provide clear, actionable feedback
  • Estimate work, break down projects into deliverable increments, and surface risks and dependencies early
  • Collaborate with product, design, and QA partners throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to engineering standards
  • Build, operate, and optimize services on Microsoft Azure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across mobile, web, and backend systems

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong hands-on coding focus
  • Strong proficiency with TypeScript across frontend and backend
  • Experience using AI-assisted/agentic coding tools (e.g., coding agents) to accelerate development while maintaining code quality
  • Experience building modern web applications using React, Angular, or similar frameworks
  • Experience building or maintaining mobile applications (native iOS/Android and/or cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Ionic, or similar)
  • Experience designing and implementing backend services and APIs (Node.js preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native application development (application services/functions or containers; common data services; monitoring/logging)
  • Working knowledge of cloud-native concepts and performance optimization
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering products with shared ownership across web and mobile platforms
  • Experience designing APIs and data models optimized for both mobile and web consumption
  • CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure-as-code experience (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
  • Experience with containerization and/or Kubernetes (AKS a plus)
