Role: Android Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Duration: Fulltime
BGV will be done for the selected candidates.
Primary Skills
Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch"
Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
A knack for benchmarking and optimization
Understanding of Google's Android design principles and interface guidelines
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Experience with web service
Key Responsibilities
Defining the overall technical architecture for the mobile application that is being envisioned with the customer.
Defining the technical requirements for the implementation of the mobile solution.
Discussing with the customer technical aspects of the mobile application solution architecture, including the technology used, methodology followed, and devices selected.
Preparing technical solution and architecture documents, artifacts, work products and presentations for the customer.
Representing the customer's technical solution requirements
Represent the technical team in front of prospects/ customers towards acquiring new business
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (advanced degree a plus), have significant technical experience in previous mobile projects and possess a proven track record for leading or supporting technical sales activities. Key expectations include:
8+ years of experience overall.
4+ years of experience working with all the Android Mobile platforms.
4+ years of experience of providing architecture solutions to Android Mobile Applications.
Good understanding and knowledge of Mobile Application development.
Experience in Agile Project Methodologies.
