ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Design and implement an android offering for our Retail partners
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Plan and layout specifications with business counterparts
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Coordinate development with multiple teams as a lead
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Plan development and implementation of a shared library for use in iOS and Android
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Provide expertise and thought leadership to architect solutions that provide appropriate levels of performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Collaborate with the development teams and the architecture community to review and obtain agreement for architecture designs.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Lead cross-functional teams in the assessment of new technologies to understand how those technologies could improve the effectiveness or efficiency of the solutions provided by the IT organization and position the organization to support the business objectives for the company.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Serve as a subject matter expert for selected products and technologies within the IT reference architecture and manage the strategic roadmaps for these products and technologies
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Educate members of the development team on architecture standards.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Participate as a member of the Architecture Steering Committee and participate in setting architecture standards and directions.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related discipline (required) (Not required if experience > 10 years)
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  3+ years native Android (JAVA) development experience
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  10+ years of experience in application design and development, with at least 5 years of experience in an architecture role (Gang of Four design patterns, Architectural design patterns, horizontal scaling)
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with one or more of the following development tools: JetBrains IDEs, Visual Studio
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with one or more of the following web server architectures: Jetty, Tomcat, IIS
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with one or more of the following databases: Postgres, Cassandra or SQL-Server
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Experience with two or more of the following server operating systems: Linux (Ubuntu 14.04, 16.04), OS X, Windows Server 2012
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong written and verbal communication skills
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  Strong Familiarity with architecture frameworks, methodologies and best practices
