Location & Work Arrangement

This role is a hybrid opportunity with inโ€‘office work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from our Seattle, SanFrancisco, or Detroit offices, and remote work other days.

About the Role

As an Android Mobile Software EngineerI, you will help build engaging experiences that make it easy for users to find their next home. We support the infrastructure to keep the app fast and stable while delivering features that let customers interact with the homeโ€‘buying journey on the move.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to complex, technical projects that change the way people make one of the biggest decisions of their lives.
  • Collaborate with teammates by reviewing code, writing documentation, and building maintainable and testable codebases.
  • Work closely with product and design teams to understand user and business needs.
  • Leverage Android best practices and design principles, incorporating industry trends when appropriate.
  • Use approved AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code.
Qualifications
  • Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 6+ months of Native iOS development experience through internships or professional work.
  • Practical experience building Android applications in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
  • Solid understanding of computerโ€‘science and engineering fundamentals.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across distances and levels.
  • Comfortable disagreeing constructively while respecting others' opinions and ideas.
  • Upโ€‘toโ€‘date knowledge of the Android community and a drive to improve products.
  • Passion for wellโ€‘architected, clean, wellโ€‘written code.
  • Experience with experimentation frameworks is a plus.
  • Experience with AI code generation tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.

Compensation

The compensation for this position is $118,800.00โ€“$145,200.00. The position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, incentives, and other employmentโ€‘related benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k retirement plan, and paidโ€‘time off.
