Job description

Anderson Express is Hiring!

Anderson Express (AE) – Muskegon, MI

Anderson Express is a women-owned, world-class manufacturer specializing in aluminum casting, CNC machining, and assembly of customer-engineered components. We are a growing Tier 1 supplier serving the automotive, military, and power generation markets.

We are the go-to supplier for Ford Motor Company on complex, fast-moving, highly engineered programs that demand precision, urgency, and problem-solving at a high level.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team and help keep Anderson Express running safely, reliably, and productively.

This first shift position performs highly diversified maintenance duties in a three-shift parts manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be a critical thinker who can assess and repair a wide range of production equipment, prevent downtime, and perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.

What You Will Own

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Assess, diagnose, and repair a wide range of production equipment to prevent downtime in a continuous production plant.

• Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and respond to equipment issues with urgency.

• Troubleshoot and maintain CNC mills including Mori, Doosan, Brother, Hurco, and Haas equipment.

• Troubleshoot and maintain our CNC lathe, a Yama Seiki w/ a bar feeder.

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams to support effective troubleshooting and repair.

Technical & Fabrication Skills

• Apply a broad range of maintenance skills, including pipe fitting, electrical work up to 480-volt three-phase power, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vision and electronic systems.

• Perform fabrication work using a variety of shop equipment, including drill presses, mills, and welding equipment.

• Contribute to maintenance projects and equipment improvements as needed.

Preventive Maintenance & Ownership

• Own the preventive maintenance (PM) process and use downtime between repairs productively.

• Complete PMs, organize maintenance work, and help operators participate in appropriate PM activities.

• Ask for help when needed and work with operators and other team members to understand equipment issues.

Problem Solving & Teamwork

• Approach maintenance problems and team members with a positive attitude.

• Recognize that effective diagnosis often requires asking questions and listening to the people who work with the equipment.

• Focus on improving the process rather than blaming people.

Shift Support

• When available, demonstrate a willingness to respond to maintenance needs on off-shifts.

What Success Looks Like

• Production equipment is maintained and repaired quickly and effectively.

• Downtime is minimized through strong troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• PMs are completed consistently and the PM process is actively owned.

• Maintenance issues are communicated clearly and diagnosed through collaboration with operators and team members.

• Problems are approached with a positive, solutions-focused attitude.

Who Thrives Here

This role is ideal for someone who thinks critically, enjoys solving mechanical and electrical problems, and takes personal ownership of keeping equipment running. You should be willing to roll up your sleeves, work alongside operators and other team members, ask questions, and do whatever is needed to find and fix the problem.

Most importantly, you should bring a positive attitude to the work and to the people around you. At Anderson Express, we believe in blaming the process—not the people—and working together to solve problems.

Qualifications

• Work experience in a trade applicable to a manufacturing or military setting.

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.

• Experience with CNC mills and/or CNC lathes is required for this role.

• Ability to work with electrical systems up to 480-volt three-phase power.

• Mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, pipe fitting, and fabrication skills.

• Ability to read an electrical diagram.

• 401(k) with company match

• Paid time off and holidays

• Tuition reimbursement

• Profit sharing and more!

If you are an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys a fast-paced manufacturing environment, takes ownership, and is motivated by the opportunity to keep production running, we want to hear from you.

Come help us build a world-class operation at Anderson Express.
