We’re looking for a dynamic Imaging Production Supervisor for a Document Preservation Digitization Team at the Philadelphia City Archives. This individual will be responsible for managing and supervising a team of 8-10 Digitization Specialists with the goal of digitizing historic records. This is a full-time opportunity working Monday through Friday from 8:30 am- 4:00 pm, 40 hours a week and will last for about 2 years. You will report to the Domestic Remote Senior Imaging Manager. This is not a work-from-home position. This position is contract-based and is not eligible for Ancestry benefits.
Compensation will be $25 per hr.
Must clear background check
Project will start October 2026

Key Responsibilities / Performance Requirements:

  • Excellent attendance and record of dependability
  • Has proven results with leading production rates in a team setting
  • Proven track record of managing a team effectively with superb supervisory skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Assisting with image corrections and specialist hiring and training
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting projects as they move through the Imaging pipeline,
  • Handle mailing of equipment/hard drives, coordinating shipments
  • Do quality checks and analysis for on-site production

Required Skills:

  • Ability to see a problem and work through solutions
  • A strong desire to improve on performance and knowledge
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and potential
  • Ability to adapt to changes in responsibilities/goals
  • Experience with digital imaging hardware and processes is strongly preferred
