Position Summary
The Department of Pathology and Microbiology at the University of Nebraska Medical
Center (UNMC) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-leading faculty position in the
division of Anatomic Pathology with a focus on Dermatopathology. The successful
candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills in dermatopathology and will have the
opportunity to participate in another subspecialty such as bone and soft tissue pathology.
Educational opportunities include teaching within the medical school and within an
ACGME-accredited AP/CP residency program. Opportunities for developing research
projects are available. Candidates interested in developing a funded research program
are also encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will hold an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. (or equivalent) degree, and
they should be certified or eligible for certification in AP or AP/CP by the American Board
of Pathology. The department is a rapidly growing academic subspeciality-based
practice with highly competitive compensation and opportunities for administrative
