White Plains Hospital is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Operations Manager to oversee, inspire, and coordinate our histology, cytology, and MOHS laboratories. Your Impact & Responsibilities

In this role, you will be a crucial change agent, ensuring our laboratories achieve maximum testing quality and regulatory compliance. Your core focus areas will include:

  • Team Leadership: Interview, hire, evaluate, and mentor laboratory staff; manage section payroll, scheduling, and annual competencies.
  • Quality & Compliance: Lead the Quality Control Program, prepare monthly QC reports, and stay ahead of accrediting agency standards.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaboratively develop department goals, manage capital equipment budgets, and optimize laboratory/computer software (including instrument interfacing and report formatting).
  • Collaborative Practice: Work seamlessly across all levels of the hospital's interdisciplinary team to promote a positive, patient-safe environment.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Clinical Technology or a related science.
  • Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of relevant hospital laboratory experience.
  • Certification: BLS certification is required; ASCP Certification is highly preferred.
  • Licensure: Current NYS License as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Pathologists’ Assistant.
