Job Summary:
Anaplan is a team of innovators focused on optimizing business decision-making through their AI-infused scenario planning platform. The Principal Application Architect will shape the future of application implementation, blending technical and functional architecture knowledge to develop best-in-class delivery methodologies and frameworks for Anaplan's applications.
Responsibilities:
• Provide deep expertise in the functional and application architecture for a specific domain or application set.
• Own the end-to-end solution design and deployment for Beta application implementations, establishing the gold standard for future projects.
• Partner with the Delivery Methodology team to develop, refine, and validate the implementation methodology for new applications through Beta implementations.
• Develop, refine, and scale implementation best practices by application to ensure consistently successful customer outcomes.
• Align with Product & Engineering to shape application direction, build application knowledge, and share field results from Beta implementations to improve application capabilities.
• Create and contribute reusable assets, such as templates, tools, and reference architectures, to empower the entire services ecosystem.
• Support instructional design and product learning content to scale application knowledge and implementation best practices.
• Contribute your knowledge, best practices, and associated assets to the Anaplan Community.
• Establish and reinforce architectural best practices across all implementations to ensure customer readiness, robust solution design, performance optimization, and long-term scalability.
• Drive the creation of new implementation methodologies and approaches, improving efficiency through process, automation, and centers of excellence.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to guide the evolution of Anaplan's applications based on real-world implementation insights.
• Provide vision, mentorship, and architectural guidance to Anaplan Solution Architects, Model Builders, and Partners.
• Actively support the development of new talent within the architecture community and the broader Anaplan ecosystem.
Qualifications:
Required:
• You must possess a successful track record as a Senior or Principal-level Architect, with at least 4 years of experience designing and implementing complex EPM solutions like Anaplan.
• Deep passion for and expertise in solution design, creating delivery best practices, and mentoring team members.
• A strong background in enterprise software, professional services, and multi-dimensional modeling (Anaplan platform expertise is strongly preferred).
• Experience with Agile or other modern software development methodologies.
• Ability to scope complex client engagements and guide teams through the process.
• Strong facilitation, negotiation, and client leadership skills with executive-level communication experience.
• Travel (up to 25-50%) may be expected globally to support strategic implementations.
