Job Description
What does Zenith Analytics do?
Working closely with both the Business Planning and Activation teams, Analytics designs the data strategy to tie our clients' marketing to real-world business goals. We then mine that data to optimize campaigns and tell the stories that bring our clients closer to their marketing, helping them understand if they're talking to the people they want, and if they're doing it the right way.
What does a successful Manager look like?
Successful members of the Analytics team at Zenith generally have a data-driven approach to decision-making, collaboration, and solving problems. This person understands and synthesizes the full scope of media (data ingestion, data house pipelines, EPL, etc.) They understand the nuances of different partners, such as what makes Youtube distinct from Meta in terms of a media buying perspective. We're also hoping you have at least a year's worth of experience in managing direct reports and have at least four years of prior professional experience.
Responsibilities
Our Analytics Managers:
  • Use data to tell great stories, solve problems, and maintain relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Are proactive in prescriptively implementing process improvements
  • Represent Zenith Data and Analytics to external clients by functioning as reliable and communicative media performance experts
  • Work closely with their team of analysts to help them stay on track with day-to-day client deliverables
  • Contribute crucial intellectual capital bydesigning measurement plans based on their client's business needs, and identifying creative solutions to solve problems
  • Work closely with their Associate Directors to formulate a vision for their accounts, and then execute on that vision with their Analysts and Senior Analysts. As such, Managers are mentors, managers, project managers, and thought leaders, all at the same time.

Qualifications
Technical Experience
  • Advanced Excel skills (ability to work with macros, advanced formulas, pivot tables) and experience working with large data sets
  • Able to navigate a data warehouse environment (SQL is a must) and Redshift effectively. Experience with other programming languages is preferred but not required (Python, R, SAS)
  • Working knowledge of any BI Visualization Tool (ex. Tableau, PowerBI, Spotfire, etc.)
  • Experience with querying relational databases
  • Ability to structure and manipulate large data sets to answer business questions
  • Experience with digital media and analytics tools (Ad Servers, Measurement Vendors, BI Software)
  • Understanding of a broad range of online advertising media channels such as Search, Display Banners, Email, Contextual, and Social, as well as subject matter expertise in at least one of these areas
  • Use statistical analyses to determine digital performance relative to benchmarks, testing results, and audience insights
  • Experience with using or analyzing data form DMPs and DSPs
  • Understand media definitions on their own

Media Experience:
  • Understanding of a broad range of online and offline media channels such as TV, OTT, Social, Direct, and Programmatic Digital
  • Extensive experience with taxonomy management, data ingestion QA and data processing
  • Extensive experience with digital media marketing metrics
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital advertising, strategy and measurement
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with media team members and partners, earning credibility to drive results as a respected advisor
  • Thought leadership on all aspects of digital advertising, digital media strategy and standard media measurement

Professional Experience:
  • Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications
  • Demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience building and delivering executive storytelling

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with third party research partners such as Dynata, GWI and Nielsen
  • Proficiency in cloud-based deployment environments (Jupyter, Google Collab, etc)
  • Experience with ad verification tools such as IAS, Moat, etc
  • Optional/Desirable: Experience with the following advanced analytics methods: A/B or Matched Market Testing, linear regression, cluster analysis, neural nets, random forests, conjoint analysis

Compensation Range: USD $88,540.00 - USD $141,687.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
