Job Description for Sr. Solutions Analyst/Project Manager/Product Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Analyst/Project Manager/Product Manager to join our Information Systems team responsible for financial applications. This role is vital in enhancing and supporting our accounts payable systems and applications, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of internal and external users. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and accounng processes, excellent analytical skills, and experience with technologies such as DB2, Oracle SQL, SingleStore, WPF, React, and iOS. The ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential.

Key Responsibilies:

System Support & Maintenance:

  • Provide expert-level support for in-house and 3rd party accounts payable applications with over 1000 internal users, and in-house Business Portal applications with over 100 external users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to accounts payable processes and systems
  • Ensure system integrity, security, and performance are maintained at optimal levels User & Vendor Collaboration:
  • Serve as one of the primary points of contact for accounts payable system inquiries from internal divisions and external contacts
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal users, external contacts, and the Information Systems team
  • Conduct or facilitate training sessions for users and vendors as necessary
  • Business Analysis:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements from divisions and external partners
    • Translate business needs into technical specifications and solutions in collaboration with the development team
    • Conduct gap analysis and recommend improvements to existing systems and processes.
    • Create/use SQL queries for issue resolution and reporting
  • Project Management & Development:
    • Lead and manage projects related to accounts payable system enhancements, new feature development, or 3rd party application upgrades or implementation, including testing and facilitating deployment of applications
    • Develop project plans and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on me and within scope
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external teams to ensure successful project execution
    • Create specifications and test plans for projects utilizing various technologies 
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within accounts payable systems
    • Implement best pracces and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounts payable processes
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures
    • Analyze and/or generate reports to monitor system performance and user acvity
    • Provide regular updates to management on project status and system performance

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a solutions analyst or similar role, with a focus on accounts payable/accounting systems required
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas accounting processes and related systems preferred. Familiarity with the Oil & Gas industry is a must
  • Working knowledge of query/reporting tools such as TOAD, Business Objects, Spotfire and PowerBI required
  • Experience with Oracle SQL, memSQL, WPF, React, and iOS app development preferred. Experience with Python, Elasticsearch, and/or DB2 a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products: Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proven project management experience, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with SOX Controls a plus
  • Experience with QC/QA testing procedures a plus
