The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Technical Lead to support mission-critical cyber and network operations within the Department of War and Intelligence Community. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines that transform complex, high-volume data into actionable intelligence supporting national security efforts.
Qualified Senior Data Engineer should have the below skills: 
-9+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or related technical fields and a Bachelors in a related field
-Strong experience designing and building ETL pipelines and data ingestion frameworks
-Hands-on experience with Kafka, NiFi, and AWS (S3, SQS)
-Proficiency in Java with experience in unit and integration testing
-Secret clearance and a DoD 8570 IAT II certification (or higher)
*Please note: Applicants may be required to complete a coding challenge during the interview process per customer requirements. 
This work supports a hybrid work model with 1-2 days onsite (Columbia, MD) a week, the remainder will be remote. Candidates must be a US Citizen with an active Top Secret level government clearance. Salary for this role is between $133,000 – $238,000, depending on experience, clearance level, location, and contract requirements.
