Job description

About Minno
Minno is a global media and technology company based in Nashville, Tennessee, on a mission to help kids and families experience Jesus every day through media and technology.
Founded in 2019, Minno is building the most trusted Christian media brand for the next generation. Through our streaming platform, original programming, publishing, and digital presence, we spark children's curiosity about God and the Bible, support parents, and create joyful, lasting faith experiences for families worldwide.
We're a fast-growing startup - powered by a mission-driven team with experience at Amazon, PBS KIDS, Duolingo, Disney, DreamWorks Animation, Noggin, and leading studios and startups. Our growth has placed us in the top 1% of direct-to-consumer subscription businesses, and we are scaling rapidly following the close of our Series A round, led by Konvoy Ventures.
Minno is a Nashville-based global media company serving Christian kids and families through:
  • Minno Kids: Our flagship ad-free streaming platform experiencing triple-digit growth
  • Minno Originals: Award-winning original programming including "Laugh and Grow Bible for Kids" and "Young David"
  • YouTube channel: The fastest-growing Christian kids' channels with triple-digit year-over-year growth
  • Minno Press: Our successful publishing unit behind bestselling children's titles, including the award-winning "Minno Laugh & Grow Bible for Kids."

We differentiate ourselves through creative excellence, faithful curation, parent partnership, and a global vision that honors the diversity of the Church. Minno is a public benefit corporation, and our mission fuels everything we do.
Minno uniquely differentiates itself by promising:
  • Experiential Excellence: Top-tier quality that changes expectations and raises the bar for Christian content.
  • Safe Entertaining Christian Content: Kid-friendly, entertaining, engaging, age-appropriate, and Biblically aligned content.
  • Practical Faith Support: Resources that cultivate faith, invite conversation, and foster spiritual growth.
  • Values the Global Church: Honoring the diversity of the global church and people as image bearers of God.

As a public benefit corporation, Minno is committed to helping kids and their families experience Jesus every day through media and technology. This mission drives everything we do.
The Opportunity
This is Minno's first embedded analytics hire - and one of the most consequential roles we're making as we scale toward becoming the category-defining platform for Christian kids and families.
You will build the analytical backbone of the entire company from the ground up. You'll partner directly with the CEO, CFO, CMO, CCO, CTO, and CPO to transform data from across our growing platform into clear, trusted intelligence that drives every major decision - from content investment to marketing spend to platform strategy.
What makes this role different from a typical analytics hire is the way decisions are made here. When you bring a finding to light, it gets acted on. Our CMO wants to be taught, not just served. Our CFO presents analytical models directly to the board. Your work will shape what Minno does, not sit in a reporting system nobody reads.
This role starts as a high-impact individual contributor. As Minno scales, you'll have the opportunity to build and lead a small analytics team - this is a foundational role in the company we're building, not a seat at the end of a long table.
Why Content Analytics and Children's Data Privacy Matter Here
Minno operates at the intersection of three hard problems: content, kids, and subscriptions.
We produce and distribute original children's programming across our own streaming platform, YouTube (1.1M+ subscribers), and third-party distribution partners. Understanding which content drives engagement, retention, and long-term subscriber value - not just which content is most expensive to produce - is the central analytical challenge of this business.
Content analytics is the hardest of our three analytical verticals to hire for. Marketing attribution and product analytics are learnable. Content analytics requires intuition built from experience - knowing how to evaluate the value of a piece of content, how to model the relationship between content investment and subscriber behavior, and how to advise a creative team with data they actually trust.
Because our audience is children, every analytical system you build must be designed within the constraints of COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and its global equivalents. This isn't a checkbox compliance exercise. It shapes what data you can collect, how you can model behavior, how you work with third-party platforms, and how you architect everything from your data warehouse to your reporting layer. If you've navigated children's data privacy in a product analytics context before, you know what this means. If you haven't, this role will require you to learn it fast - and we'd rather hire someone who's already been through it.
Our Mission and Faith
Minno is a Christian company, and our faith is inseparable from our work. We're building a platform to help kids and families experience Jesus every day - and that conviction shapes every product decision, content investment, and hire we make.
We're looking for someone who is personally aligned with that mission - not because it's a checkbox, but because the work is more meaningful when the mission resonates. You don't need to be an expert in Christian media, but you do need to genuinely care about what we're building for kids and families and see this role as more than a career move.
What You'll Do
  • Build and own Minno's analytics foundation - ensuring every functional leader has access to accurate, timely, trusted data to drive their decisions
  • Deliver content intelligence that guides investment, licensing, and programming decisions across our growing catalog
  • Build investor-grade analytics infrastructure that supports Minno's next phase of growth and capital strategy
  • Own marketing attribution across our direct-to-consumer and third-party distribution channels, giving the CMO and CFO clear visibility into what's driving member value
  • Drive member lifecycle and behavioral intelligence that informs product prioritization and retention strategy
  • Operate as a proactive strategic partner to the executive team - bring insights before they're requested and make data central to every major decision
  • Lead Minno's AI analytics strategy and ensure every new business model and content format is instrumented before it launches

What You'll Bring
Must Have
  • 5+ years in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related function with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility
  • Experience building or leading content analytics in a media, entertainment, or content-driven business.
    • You've evaluated content performance, modeled the relationship between content and business outcomes, and advised creative teams with data.
  • Direct experience with children's data privacy regulations (COPPA, GDPR-K, or equivalent) in a product or analytics context - or deep experience in a regulated data environment where privacy constraints shaped your analytical approach.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency - able to independently query and transform data from complex, multi-source environments
  • Fluency in Tableau or comparable BI tool - built dashboards from scratch, not just maintained existing ones
  • Demonstrated experience building an analytics function or owning analytics end-to-end as the primary analyst in a small or growing company
  • Experience with third-party platform distribution analytics - platforms where member-level data is constrained and indirect
  • Strong AI fluency - actively uses AI tools in their workflow with a clear point of view on where they add the most value
  • Exceptional communication skills - can translate complex data into a clear narrative that drives decisions in the boardroom
  • Proactive, ownership mindset - brings insights before being asked and operates independently
  • Genuine alignment with Minno's Christian mission and enthusiasm for the audience we serve

Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in media, streaming, or multi-format content analytics
  • Familiarity with COPPA compliance, children's data privacy regulations, and the analytics constraints that apply to platforms serving users under 13. Familiarity with investor-grade subscription metrics and financial modeling
  • Proficiency in Python or R
  • Experience with GA4, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools
  • Familiarity with DBT or data modeling and transformation tools
  • Experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse
  • Hands-on experience with multi-touch marketing attribution in a subscription context

Nice to Have
  • Background in faith-based, family, or children's media
  • Experience building analytics frameworks for new business models before launch

Our Values
  • Bias for Action: We take initiative and make decisions quickly
  • Curious, not Content: We are eager to learn and innovate
  • Grit & Resilience: We persevere and follow through on our commitments
  • Rigorous Intentionality: We pay attention to details and understand the "why" behind our work
  • Think Like Owners: We are resourceful and take wise risks
  • Mutual Blessing: We operate generously on behalf of others
  • Trust Builders: We gain confidence through honesty, integrity, and authenticity
  • Adapt & Flex: We operate effectively in uncertain situations

Location
Nashville, TN preferred. Open to remote for the right candidate, with regular travel to Nashville for quarterly planning and team collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus
  • Equity package
  • Comprehensive benefits
  • Professional development opportunities, including key industry conferences and leadership development programs
