Title: Portfolio Analytics, Associate Director

Department: Portfolio Finance

Location: Charlotte, NC or Boston, MA

The Opportunity

This role sits at the intersection of portfolio finance, data engineering, operational improvements, and analytics development. The Associate Director will be responsible for designing, building, and enhancing scalable data and analytics solutions that empower decision-making, drive operational efficiency and provide real-time insight on the platform. This individual will own the development and evolution of core data operations infrastructure and analytical tooling, partnering closely with investment, operations, risk, and technology stakeholders to deliver robust, automated, and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows to support operational improvements and portfolio monitoring capabilities
  • Develop and enhance proprietary portfolio monitoring systems, including database architecture and data models
  • Lead automation initiatives, replacing manual processes with robust, repeatable solutions
  • Engineer solutions for complex data challenges, integrating multiple internal and external data sources
  • Build predictive and analytical models to generate forward-looking portfolio insights
  • Create scalable reporting frameworks enabling self-service analytics and real-time decision-making
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and production-ready tools
  • Continuously optimize system performance, data quality, and underlying architecture
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a Engineering, Computer and Information Science or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 years of experience building data-driven solutions within financial or complex environments
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end technical solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong programming experience in Python and SQL
  • Experience designing and working with relational databases and data architectures
  • Experience building data pipelines, automation frameworks, and analytics tools
  • Familiarity with version control and production deployment best practices
  • Ability to translate financial concepts into scalable technical models
