Job description

Field Service Engineer (f/m/o) – Heidelberg Instruments
Permanent Employee, Full-time - USA

Heidelberg Instruments is the leading manufacturer of direct write lithography solutions for micro- and nano-scale patterning and 3D printing. We are currently looking to fill several Field Service Engineer positions within in our North American service department.
This role offers continuous exposure to the latest developments in an exciting growing field, cutting edge technologies, and people who are passionate about the future of technology. You will be working side-by-side with our customers in several highly technical fields including laser optics, electronics, software and mechanical systems.

Job Responsibilities

- Commissioning of precision laser lithography systems, which includes assembly, setup and final qualification of equipment at our customers sites
- Field upgrades to existing installations
- Maintenance, service, and in-depth diagnosis / troubleshooting of semiconductor/photomask lithography equipment at the customer’s site.
- Online and on-site Customer Training and technical support.
- Maintain and strengthen customer relationships

Your Profile / Qualifications


- Degree or training in electronics or STEM related discipline or two years experience in a field engineer position in a related subject
- Ideally previous knowledge of laser technology, electronics, optics, mechanics
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and concisely with both customers and colleagues.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues
- Ability to travel to customer locations throughout North America (up to 35%).
- Proficiency in English
- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) is required
