Senior Analyst, Research - Phoenix
Our Senior Research Analyst will support the Phoenix Region using data from JLL and other sources to analyse market conditions and effectively tell the commercial real estate story to our brokers, investors, and other clients. Your responsibilities will be to track (with the help of our centralized data hub) and analyze the Phoenix commercial real estate market with a focus on trend analysis, market presentation, strategic business development support and research content creation. You will serve as an active member of a sales enablement team to contribute to strategic business development efforts. You will work closely with external research colleagues, brokerage professionals and clients in the local market, as well as with research colleagues throughout the nation within JLL's Americas Research group.
What this job involves
  • Become an expert on the local economy, job and industry makeup, demographics and local market company growth, among other aspects of the market so that you can tell a compelling story about the local market.
  • Analyzing underlying economic demand trends that inform real estate demand
  • Write quarterly market reports to explain market shifts for the Phoenix market
  • Contribute to the production of key research reports providing a unique house view on market drivers and influencers in Phoenix
  • Presenting findings to JLL clients, investors and brokers on prevailing market conditions.
  • Manage the statistical and analytical quality of data for the Phoenix, including supply and demand conditions for research and development properties.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal and external clients and facilitate the use of research as a differentiator including being personally client facing and externally focused on new and existing business efforts.
  • Work with sales enablement, marketing teams and business leaders to position research to contribute to all business development efforts
  • Partner with brokerage leaders to contribute to business development efforts and grow the business
  • Keep track and inform brokerage leaders of local and national commercial real estate news
  • Regularly update current tenant information for essential properties in the market

Desired skills and experience for this job
  • Bachelor's degree in business, real estate, economics, or related field desired.
  • Strong project management skills to deliver work on time and in communication with local and out of market team members.
  • Leverage AI technologies to enhance out and create efficiencies
  • Command of economic and business drivers with good understanding of macro trends and historical perspective.
  • High-level analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Proactive and strategic thinking and ability to lead research initiatives, align research with the business, and innovate research output for a rapidly changing industry and product type.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally exceed client expectations and positively represent the firm.
  • Ability to multi-task, be resilient and can effectively manage time and workload.
  • Ability to lead research initiatives in alignment with business and marketing objectives.
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
  • Preference for persons with background in statistics and python that can evaluate large data sets to understand dependent and independent variables.
  • Preference for curious and interest in commercial real estate.
  • Dynamic presentation skills and experience presenting insightful content to clients, internal stakeholders, and the media.
