Job description

Position Summary
Odyssey Systems is seeking a Logistics Manager to support the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. The WNR Division serves as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment authority, delivering comprehensive and mission-critical support to the war-fighter. The division supports a broad portfolio of Air Force systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Air Combat Training, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, and Combat Survivor Evader Locater systems. The division also provides ongoing support to depot-level sustainment efforts, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and partners across the U.S. Army, Navy, PACAF, ACC, AFMC, and AETC.
This role specifically supports the Live Mission Operations Capability (LMOC) program. LMOC enables real-time weapon modeling and automated data delivery for live training and debrief environments, enhancing training fidelity, density, and effectiveness across mission planning, execution, reconstruction, and review.
Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Logistics & Sustainment Planning
  • Develop and execute logistics and sustainment strategies, including Component Depot Activation (CDA) support.
  • Address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) issues through supply chain analysis and alternate sourcing.
  • Support transitions to Air Logistics Complex centers.

Program Support & Coordination
  • Identify and analyze requirements for funding, manpower, materials, facilities, and services.
  • Align program requirements with support plans.
  • Coordinate across functional teams, support managers, and product support managers to meet program objectives.

Acquisition & Lifecycle Support
  • Support all phases of the acquisition lifecycle, including source selection and acquisition strategy development.
  • Assist with Capability Based Assessments (CBAs), ICDs, CDDs, and CPDs.
  • Maintain requirements traceability and provide decision-support analyses.
  • Provide logistics inputs for RFPs, specifications, SOWs, and CDRLs.

Documentation & Analysis
  • Assist in developing documentation for acquisition and sustainment phases.
  • Prepare briefings supporting milestones, sustainment planning, and decision points.
  • Conduct Business Case Analyses (BCAs), trade studies, and logistics analyses focusing on supply, reliability, and maintainability metrics.

Lifecycle & Logistics Planning
  • Develop LCSPs, ILSPs, PS-BCAs, and DSOR/SORA packages.
  • Apply supply chain tools to mitigate sustainment risks and DMS challenges.

Systems Engineering, Testing & Readiness
  • Support technical trade studies and documentation for system integration, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Provide independent readiness assessments for production and risk management.
  • Support T&E planning, including TEMPs, charters, and evaluation strategies.

Concept Development & Capability Assessments
  • Develop draft CONOPS and technology assessments aligned with warfighter needs.
  • Link technology assessments to operational requirements and acquisition opportunities.

Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret Clearance
Education & Experience: Master's or Bachelor's degree in a related field with at least 3 years of experience in the respective discipline, including 3 years in the DoD, OR
    • 7 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in the DoD

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience integrating logistics functions to plan, implement, or execute logistics programs
  • Familiarity with the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning
  • Understanding of DoD 5000-series acquisition processes
  • Experience with Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements
  • Knowledge of PS-BCA, LCSP, and LHA processes
  • Knowledge of DoD program planning, funding, and management systems
  • Broad understanding of organizations involved in providing logistical support
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) experience (preferred but not required)
  • Logistics management; program planning and baseline documentation
  • Experience with MIL-STD processes and products

Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with acquisition lifecycle and product support planning
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000 series acquisition processes
