Job description

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and mixing & blending equipment used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications. We are currently seeking an Inspector/Shop Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning and inspecting parts after the manufacturing process to ensure they meet all quality standards and specifications. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity and supporting overall production excellence.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operate a degreaser machine to wash and clean products, ensuring removal of impurities.
  • Inspect products to ensure they are free from flaws and imperfections.
  • Place good parts into stock and bring any parts that do not meet specifications to the correct area for re-work as needed.
  • Maintain an organized work area.
  • Follow directions, due dates and specifications on job traveler paperwork.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.


Required Skills
