Job description

Traveling Physical Therapist Position

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist position in Fort Worth, TX at an outpatient facility where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Responsibilities include evaluating assigned patients, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, documenting care in compliance with regulations, supervising discipline-specific therapy services, and participating in student education and professional development. You will follow clinic safety standards and organizational policies while upholding professional licensure and ethical practice.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program recognized by the APTA.
  • Active Texas Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • BLS certification from the AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred, with competency in comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, and development of functional treatment plans.
  • Experience with documentation and charge entry in an electronic medical record system preferred.
  • Ability to supervise or delegate tasks to therapy aides or assistants as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous travel therapy experience preferred.
  • Experience participating in student clinical education preferred.
  • Familiarity with performance improvement initiatives and outcome measurement preferred.
Assignment Details
  • Shift pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight hours each).
  • Typical shift length: 8โ€“9 hour shifts Monday through Thursday.
  • Duration: 13 week assignment.
