Job description

AmeriStar is a full-service metal manufacturing company that was founded in 1908. Our capabilities include stamping, precision laserjet and waterjet cutting, welding and assembly, short run stamping & long run stamping. The Shipping & Receiving associate will aid the Shipping Lead in counting, packaging, and shipping manufactured goods, keep accurate inventory count and track it in the computer system, and receive new product coming in and put it into inventory by logging it in the computer system. If you're a team player with an enthusiastic and positive attitude, we'd like to meet you!
Responsibilities
Operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
Follow safety procedures to ensure safe equipment operation.
Package manufactured goods to customer specifications and counts.
Ensure correct pack quantities.
Ensure parts are shipped to the correct company.
Notify supervisor to resolve process, product, equipment, and production issues.
Any other duties as designated by management.
Qualifications/Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
Possess good math skills.
Ability to understand and follow customer specific shipping instructions.
Knowledge of general manufacturing safety rules.
Ability to interact and communicate appropriately with courtesy towards other employees, customers, and vendors.
Proficient in ERP software a plus.
