Description
AmeriQual Sanitation Technicians are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the production equipment, machinery, utensils, and all production areas to ensure the highest level of food safety. Approximate hours 10:00 pm - 6:00 am
Duties and responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily clean-up of all production areas and equipment; clean and sterilize machinery, utensils, and other equipment used to process or store raw materials and products
  • Work with several cleaning chemicals and tools in a safe knowledgeable manner
  • Disassemble, clean, run and reassemble all equipment, pipes, conveyors, etc. in the processing and packaging areas
  • Clean floors, walls, racks, etc. throughout the facility
  • Responsible for assuring plant is acceptable and cleaned prior to pre-operation inspection by AmeriQual and USDA personnel

Requirements
  • Ability to perform cleaning scrubbing duties using various chemicals and pressure washers in accordance with proper sanitation requirements
  • Ability to read and understand chemical labels and use general math skills to mix proper concentrations
  • Ability to follow all work instructions and safety procedures
  • Ability to communicate and interact within sanitation department and with other departments and management officials

Physical requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk and hear; use hands repetitively to operate tools and cleaning instruments; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions and with various cleaning chemicals is required.
