AmeriMed Consultation and Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team on a full-time basis. • Conduct thorough assessments of client mood disorders by evaluating the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that are aligned with their individual requirements and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the needs of clients.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care practices, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the treatment process.
• Monitor client progress continuously and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on individual progress and feedback.
• Engage in integrated care procedures by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.
• Stay informed about new research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic practices and contribute to improved client outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training opportunities to foster professional growth.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmatization and ensuring their needs are effectively met.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals and families navigating challenges related to mood disorders, relationships, and life transitions. Your focus will extend to providing support in areas such as divorce and relationship counseling, helping clients find effective strategies to cope with their struggles and achieve healthier relational dynamics.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to establish a secure and trustworthy therapeutic relationship.
• A nonjudgmental attitude and deep empathy toward clients’ experiences are essential to fostering a supportive atmosphere.
• Strong organizational and time-management capabilities are necessary for effective client handling and administrative tasks.

• Experience in multiple therapeutic modalities including structural family therapy, strategic therapy, and narrative therapy is highly beneficial.
• Prior experience working with diverse populations and various clinical presentations related to mood disorders and family dynamics.
