Job description

As a Lease Contracting Officer, you will perform a wide range of acquisition and federal space management work for complex realty transactions.
The Office of Leasing supports federal agencies in accomplishing their missions by delivering leased space timely, at the best value, and with high-quality workplace solutions, with the vision of becoming a best-in-class federal real property leasing organization.

We are currently filling 28 vacancies, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Qualifications:

The GS-12 salary range starts at $90,968 per year.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to theย GS-11ย level or higher in the Federal service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:ย 

Specialized experience is managing real estate transactions for commercial office space by researching, interpreting and applying real estate laws, regulations, and practices. This experience must include performing the following:

  • Lease acquisition including negotiating, preparing and executing real estate contracts;

  • Conducting market surveys and real estate site inspections;

  • Performing real estate project management using project management tools to manage projects from inception to closeout;

  • Conducting cost analyses for real estate transactions to provide recommendations and;

  • Managing lease transactions and documents to ensure procurement and financial accuracy.
