American Security is a family owned and operated security guard agency that was established in 1986. We have over 400 employees which makes us big enough to take on large customers, but small enough to offer personalized services to smaller clients. American establishes security programs for their clients that are designed to protect their personnel and assets. We integrate our trained officers and technology which allows us to effectively execute our security programs.
Job Details
American Security is currently recruiting for Full Time Special Response Officers (SRO's) to work throughout the Chicagoland area. This is a great opportunity to enhance your security experience and join a great company in one of the fastest growing industries!
Requirements
โ€ข Speak, read and write the English language fluently.
โ€ข Understand written procedures and respond accordingly.
โ€ข Own a reliable vehicle that meets the Illinois law outlining vehicle insurance requirements.
โ€ข Possess a valid Illinois driver's license.
โ€ข Be on-call and prepared for deployment to various client sites with little/ no advanced notice.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Scheduled to be on stand-by two shifts per day, 6-days a week
โ€ข Promptly respond to dispatch requests for service and deploy to locations within the Chicagoland area.
โ€ข Effectively utilize technology to assist clients in securing their facilities (tablets, access control systems, visitor management systems and CCTV systems).
โ€ข Ensure vendors and visitors are properly signed in/out.
โ€ข Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of property.
โ€ข Monitor security cameras that are within the facility.
โ€ข Respond to incidents including property emergencies.
โ€ข Conduct general patrols during various hours, including numerous flights of stairs and frequent patrols of the exterior in any weather conditions.
โ€ข Clearly and accurately record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of equipment.
โ€ข Maintain clear and accurate logs.
โ€ข Provide excellent customer service while on duty.
โ€ข Other duties as assigned.
