Maintenance Engineering Technician
Job Summary:
Our client in Liberty, NC is looking for a Maintenance Engineering Technician. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do:
Our Client's Production Engineering Battery Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi (Maintenance Engineering Technician) Technician Position. The primary responsibility of this position is to execute as the North American machine set up personnel (SV), increase Operation Availability (OA) through continuous improvement and problem-solving technical issues. This role will also support the Battery department's objective to execute Capital Projects from planning thru Start of Production (SOP). This position will be located at TBMNC in Liberty, NC and report to the Seibi Manager for Battery. Successful candidate must exhibit Our Client's Way leadership values; (Respect for People and Continuous Improvement Activity). Desired characteristics include perseverance, curiosity for enrichment learning, self-motivation, Good communication skills and humility. Must be able to navigate complex problem solving at the regional level. Successful candidate must be effective at identifying and removing barriers that hinder progress. Candidate must decide appropriate work priorities, developing and executing schedule for said priorities and reporting their status to management group.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Test and repair electrical equipment or systems. (Involving circuits, relay logic, wiring, motors, servo drives, etc.).
  • Strong ability to write, program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, robotics, cameras, and other electronic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair safety systems, machine components hydraulic and pneumatic.
  • Plan and execute machine integration into mass production, leveling, adjustment and quality conformation for assigned work area.
  • Perform basic administrative skills including documentation of work performed by written/electronic methods.
  • Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Develop denwacho (detail schedule) for assigned work area / project.
  • Participate in project planning with Engineering.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn new processes.
  • Supporting Machine production trials at vendors and internal to Our Client's.
  • Certify Safety of Equipment per MMR/MMS (NFPA79 and ISO standards) via "Safety Integrity Check".

Basics:
  • Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment or equipment installation and debugging experience.
  • Experience with Electrical and/or mechanical systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Technical experience with PLCs in programming, including read, write and modify logic.
  • Technical experience with Servo Motion Controllers.
  • Technical experience with relay logic including wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Technical experience with Robotics including programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic troubleshooting and schematic reading
  • Availability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns.
  • Ability for business travel, both domestic and international - up to 30%.

Preferred:
  • Technical associate degree or higher or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in Pre-Production set up.
  • Experience with Production Processes including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS).
  • Experience gathering and analyzing quality data from multiple sources.
  • New plant or facility startup experience.
  • Experience with high volume production in a clean room environment.
