Asphalt Raker - Job Description

Overview
An Asphalt Raker is responsible for spreading, leveling, and smoothing hot asphalt to create safe, even road and pavement surfaces. This role is essential in roadwork, parking lots, and driveway construction.

Full Time/ Over Time / Traveling / $24 DOE

Key Responsibilities
  • Spread and level hot asphalt using hand tools such as rakes and shovels
  • Smooth surfaces and remove excess asphalt before compaction
  • Work closely with paving machine and roller operators to ensure quality results
  • Check and fix uneven spots in the asphalt surface
  • Follow safety procedures when working with hot materials and heavy equipment

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Ability to use hand tools and paving equipment
  • Knowledge of asphalt materials and paving methods
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to work in hot, outdoor conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Valid, clean driving record
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as required
  • Must pass drug testing and background check
  • Must be able to work under the Head of AZ Travel
