Medical Oncology opportunity in Shoreline, Washington
Compensation: $200,000-$230,000 base salary plus production
Schedule: Full-Time

At Animal Medical Center of Seattle (AMCS), you'll do more than practice exceptional oncology medicine, you'll join a collaborative, well-supported specialty team with an established caseload and the resources necessary to deliver advanced cancer care at the highest level.

We're seeking a second board-certified or residency-trained Medical Oncologist to join our growing oncology service. This opportunity offers immediate access to a strong and consistent referral caseload, supported by a loyal referral network, experienced oncology staff, and a hospital culture centered on teamwork, communication, and clinical excellence.

You'll step into an established service with the ability to help shape its continued growth and development while maintaining your primary focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Our team values collaboration across specialties, ensuring patients benefit from a truly multidisciplinary approach to case management.

At AMCS, you'll work closely with specialists in Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, and Emergency & Critical Care, with access to a fully staffed Radiology department that includes an on-site board-certified Radiologist. This collaborative environment supports advanced diagnostics, imaging interpretation, treatment planning, and comprehensive patient care.

We prioritize thoughtful case management, continuity of care, and clear communication between services, allowing clinicians to focus on medicine while benefiting from strong support systems and operational infrastructure.

Our oncology team practices within a dedicated infrastructure designed specifically to support efficient, high-quality cancer care, including:

• Dedicated oncology building
• Advanced imaging capabilities including radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI
• Digital cytology resources
• Experienced oncology support staff
• Dedicated operational and administrative support

These resources allow our clinicians to focus on delivering exceptional care while supporting efficient diagnostic and treatment workflows.

• Manage oncology cases in close collaboration with Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Emergency & Critical Care, and Radiology teams.
• Support daily client communication, including treatment updates, medication management, and ongoing patient care discussions.
• Mentor chemo-trained technicians, assistants, and support staff.
• Participate in the continued growth and development of the oncology service.
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during emotionally challenging situations.
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

• DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for Washington veterinary licensure.
• Board Certification in Medical Oncology (DACVIM-Oncology) or residency-trained in Medical Oncology.
• Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.
