AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world.
We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, Independent Film Company, Sundance TV and We TV; and film distribution labels Independent Film Company and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.
We are currently seeking an AR Analyst to join our Accounting team based in our New York, NY office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for accurate billing, cash application, reconciliation, and reporting for AMC Network's Streaming Services (AMC+, Acorn, ALLBLK, HIDIVE, Shudder and Sundance Now).
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance and Financial Systems teams to train and utilize new software (and upgrades on existing systems as needed) to automate and centralize billing & receivables for all streaming services.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures and policies related to Streaming Accounts Receivables.
  • Apply cash to customer accounts and reconcile any cash on account payments to open invoices as directed by Accounting, Finance & Streaming Service teams.
  • Prepare and send monthly reporting (i.e. aging, billing and cash) to Accounting, Finance and Streaming Services teams.
  • Review and analyze remittance information from distributors for proper revenue reporting for the national networks of AMC Networks Inc., which are: AMC, WE tv, IFC tv, BBC America and Sundance TV, as well as AMC Networks International (AMC-IV Canada).
  • Review and analysis of system level reporting and data trends to ensure the reasonableness of subscriber numbers and revenue amounts.
  • Ensure billing affiliate revenue is in accordance with most recent contract terms.
  • Periodic review of customer contracts.
  • Monitor and pursue collection/reconciliation of outstanding balances on the aging for all assigned entities.
  • Ensure that all monthly and quarterly deadlines and guidelines for distribution billing and accounts receivable are met.
  • Assist Manager, Distribution with internal and external audit requests for the Distribution AR portfolio and related transactions.
  • Assist other areas of department on an as-needed basis.

QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, or related finance roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and customer trends.
  • Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Excel and experience with ERP/billing/finance systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple portfolios with varying workflows and timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Comfortable working in high pressure situations.

The base compensation range for this position is $60,000- $65,000, commensurate with experience.
